Rotary Club Szczecin’s Changeover Ceremony

On 19 June 2026, members of the Rotary Club Szczecin gathered at a unique venue – the Prof. Jerzy Stelmach Maritime Science Centre in Szczecin’s Łasztownia district – to take part in one of the most important events in the calendar of any Rotary club: the Changeover Ceremony.
This year’s ceremony was exceptional. Not only because of the modern and unusual venue, but above all because of the way the ceremony itself unfolded.
The outgoing Club President, Zbigniew Nagay, handed over the insignia and duties... to Zbigniew Nagay. That’s not a mistake! By a decision of the Club members, Zbyszek has been re-elected President of the Rotary Club of Szczecin and will continue to hold this position during the Rotary year 2026–2027. This is an expression of trust and recognition for his commitment and work on behalf of our Club to date.
The evening began with a special artistic highlight. Guests were delighted by a recital from this year’s scholarship recipient, Alicja Kondzioła, a student at the Academy of Art in Szczecin. Her beautiful performance created a unique atmosphere and served as the perfect introduction to the rest of the ceremony.
One of the most joyful moments of the evening was also the induction of three new members into the Rotary Club of Szczecin. Leszek, Andrzej and Tomek have joined our Rotary family. We warmly welcome them into our ranks and wish them many inspiring meetings, new friendships and satisfaction from working together
It was an evening filled with memorable moments, beautiful music, friendship, and the values that define Rotary. Moments like these remind us that Rotary is not only about service, but above all about people who, through mutual trust, friendship, and commitment, can make the world a better place together.
